An evening built around a reservation and a real curtain time, with space between the two.
Choose the performance first, then work dinner backward from it. This sample uses a 7:30 p.m. curtain. Shift every earlier stop if your tickets show a different start time.

Meet at 2058 East 4th Street. Tell the restaurant you are seeing a show and need to leave by 6:30. Order with that window in mind; ask before choosing a longer tasting experience.

Leave time to reach the theater.
Allow roughly 30 minutes for the transfer and arrival, more for traffic, parking or mobility needs. Check the route from East 4th to the theater printed on your ticket; Playhouse Square has several venues.

Get settled before the curtain.
Use the restroom, find the seats and look around the lobby. This buffer is deliberate; do not use it to squeeze in another bar.

Show length and intermissions vary. The ticketed performance is the evening’s anchor, not a placeholder for a show that might be on.

Take a brief chandelier walk if you both want it.
Then follow the ride or parking plan you agreed on. Dessert can be an optional extra if a nearby place is still open; it is not required to finish the night.
