One of the newest stops on the Grand River Valley wine trail, Emerita Winery opened in late 2025 on Ledge Road in Madison and makes its wine only from Grand River Valley grapes. Owners Kathy and Ann pour and explain the wines themselves in a clean, casual tasting room. The list leans dry, with Syrah, Zinfandel, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Chardonnay, and house blends called Shea Nanigans and Quinn Tessential are in development. Food is small bites like cheese trays, bread with dipping oil, and chips and salsa.
